Role Overview
An experienced PIM Taxonomist to play a pivotal role in shaping and governing the product information management (PIM) taxonomy and data model. This is a highly autonomous position requiring deep expertise in taxonomy design, data modeling, and best practices. The successful candidate will guide the Client in defining a robust, future-proof data model that aligns with business needs and industry standards
Requirements
• Expertise:
o Deep understanding of taxonomy structures and PIM data modeling.
o Strong knowledge of governance frameworks and best practices.
o Experience in Akeneo is most preferable. However open to exposure in other PIM products.
• Experience:
o Prior experience in similar roles and similar industry ie retail / electrical goods (global experience welcome).
• Skills:
o Exceptional communication and influencing skills to engage senior stakeholders.
o Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities
• Design & Governance: Develop and refine taxonomy and data models for PIM systems, ensuring scalability and compliance with governance principles.
• Best Practice Sharing: Bring insights and proven methodologies from similar industries
• Stakeholder Engagement: Present and defend proposed models to senior stakeholders with decades of product knowledge; address challenges confidently and constructively.
• Advisory Role: Provide strategic direction during discovery and implementation phases
